These tubes are ideal for creating modified versions of the 7mm pen kits. I use a lot of them to make projects that require tubes that are longer than the ones that come with the kits.

Wonderful for laminating jobs!

I find myself doing more laminating and it is very nice to cut the tubes to the length I want rather than having unsupported wood in my pens. One thing I still want to try is attaching a small bit of tube at the end of the process if I do end up with unsupported pen blank - like the unplanned laminating that happens when a burl breaks out... the sawdust and CA solution hasn't worked well for me yet, so I've been cutting away the split and laminating on a new piece of material. Ends up making some mighty fancy looking pens too!

The brass tubes are just as described. I will be able to cut to the desired length.

Thes tubes are perfect for customizing your slimline pen kits. Simply use the standard 2" tube for the point and mechanism then make the "cap end as long as you like. Pens can be fitted with the metal ring in the middle or without - as your custom creation warrants. You end up with extra 2" tubes but those can be used for mistakes or breakage.
