Except as otherwise expressly prohibited or limited by applicable laws, Penn State Industries may at any time amend, modify or supplement these Terms, the structure for earning awards, points, or tier status at any time, with or without notice, even though such changes may affect the value of accumulated points, or the ability to obtain certain benefits. Your continued participation in Maker’s Circle Rewards will constitute your acceptance of any such changes to these Terms or the Maker’s Circle Rewards program. Maker’s Circle Rewards Eligibility. Maker’s Circle Rewards is a loyalty program offered to pennstateind.com.com account holders. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the Maker’s Circle Rewards program.
Description of Maker’s Circle Rewards. Maker’s Circle Rewards is a free program to reward our customers for their loyalty. Members receive certain promotional offers and benefits and have the opportunity to achieve membership in rewards tiers and unlock additional promotional rewards.
Joining Maker’s Circle Rewards (U.S. Customers, Excluding California). To join Maker’s Circle Rewards, simply log into your existing Pennstateind.com account, or if you do not already have an account, register for an account on pennstateind.com. By having or creating a pennstateind.com account you are automatically opted in to join the Maker’s Circle Rewards loyalty program. You may unsubscribe at any time by logging into your pennstateind.com account and unsubscribing from the Maker’s Circle Rewards Loyalty program. Customers with existing Pennstateind.com accounts, and who have placed an online order as of November 1, 2024 will automatically earn points towards Maker’s Circle Rewards with every purchase. If you have an existing pennstateind.com account you are automatically opted into Maker’s Circle Rewards. There are no membership fees associated with the Maker’s Circle Rewards program. If you elect to opt-out or cancel your account, you (i) will not be able to redeem any unused Maker’s Circle Rewards Points or points, (ii) will not be able to retrieve previously-earned points, Points, or tier status if you elect to opt in at a later time, and (iii) will not be able to earn points for purchases or actions taken while not opted in to Maker’s Circle Rewards.
Attaining Tier Status. Maker’s Circle Rewards members will earn points from Qualified Orders, as well as from “earn actions” such as giving a product review or electing to “follow” Penn State Industries on social media through the link provided on the Penn State Industries website. (All actions taken by you on third-party social media websites or apps must comply with the applicable terms of service for that website or app.) As you earn points, you may qualify for placement in a reward tier, each with its own Points.
Currently, there are three Maker’s Circle Rewards tiers: Tier 1 – called “First Cut” (1-699 Maker’s Circle Rewards points); Tier 2 called “In the Groove” (700-1199 Maker’s Circle Rewards points); Tier 3 – called “Lathe Legend” (1200+ Maker’s Circle Rewards points). Detailed descriptions of the benefits provided by membership in each tier, as well as opportunities for obtaining points, can be found in our FAQs.
Rewards members receive 1 point for every $1 spent in Tier 1, 1.25 points for every $1 spent in Tier 2 and 1.5 points for every $1 spent in Tier 3 on eligible purchases on pennstateind.com (“Qualified Orders”) and may potentially earn more points based on promotional offerings. Eligible purchases include regular and sale priced merchandise and exclude gift cards, sales tax, state fees, discounts, shipping and delivery charges and/or other excluded charges specified by us from time-to-time. Points are only awarded based on full dollars spent; purchase prices will be rounded down to the nearest full dollar amount before taxes and shipping fees in order to calculate rewards.
To make a Qualified Order you must be signed into your pennstateind.com account when placing the order and keep at least one qualifying item from the order. You can check your orders in the “My Account” Dashboard to see which orders are Qualified Orders and monitor your point total and tier status. If you make a Qualified Order and later return all the items in the order, that order is no longer a Qualified Order and any points earned may be removed from your account. To redeem Points at pennstateind.com, log-in to your pennstateind.com account, add items to your order, then redeem your available points on the shopping cart page.
In the case of “earn actions,” points will be allocated to your Maker’s Circle Rewards account as soon as practicable.
If you collect enough points to qualify you for a new tier, whether from a single order or earn action or when points are added to previous points earned within the earning period (as described below), your new tier status will take effect immediately when the minimum number of points for the applicable tier is allocated to your account. Points earned for purchases that are later returned may be subtracted from your Maker’s Circle Rewards account. If the points attributable to a returned purchase were responsible for increasing your tier status, Penn State Industries reserves the right to reduce your tier status accordingly.
Rewards, benefits and/or points earned through Maker’s Circle Rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and you have no property rights in or to rewards or other Maker’s Circle Rewards benefits. Rewards cannot be exchanged or returned for points, another product or a monetary refund.
Maker’s Circle Rewards Points. Maker’s Circle Rewards members receive personalized offers, coupons, and gifts (“Points”) based on their tier status. Some notifications or offers may be sent by email, and you will need to opt-in to emails from Penn State Industries to receive these notifications or offers; account information such tier status, point totals, and available offers will also typically be accessible by logging into your account on pennstateind.com.com. Points may be customized based on purchase behaviors and preferences. Points may have certain restrictions including expiration dates and short, time-limited redemption periods. Read each offer carefully for specific details. Maker’s Circle Rewards and Points must be redeemed at time of purchase and may not be applied retroactively. Only the account holder may use and access the Maker’s Circle Rewards Points.
Penn State Industries reserves the right to change the Points provided to Maker’s Circle Rewards Members and tier status members, and to change the specific Points offered at various tier statuses. At present the Points potentially available, based on tier status, include:
One-time reward points distribution for increasing tier status above current tier;
Rewards points distribution for providing your birthday
Early access to promotions, new arrivals
Exclusive loyalty promotions.
In the future, you may be able to redeem your points for rewards that can be used in conjunction with a purchase on pennstateind.com. No redemption opportunities are guaranteed, and any redemption opportunity may be subject to its own terms and restrictions, including expiration dates. Points expire after 1 year of inactivity, so as long as a purchase is made during the 12-month window, they do not expire.
Penn State Industries expressly reserves the right to offer similar (or identical) Points or other benefits, including participation in promotional offers or sweepstakes, to both Maker’s Circle Rewards members and non-members.
All Points are promotional only and have no cash value.
Your Maker’s Circle Rewards Account Is Personal. Each Penn State Industries customer may create only one Maker’s Circle Rewards account. The Maker’s Circle Rewards account is personal and may not be assigned, transferred, or shared with family, friends, or for commercial purposes. Maker’s Circle Rewards account and associated benefits are not intended for those purchasing items for resale.
Miscellaneous. Penn State Industries reserves the right to terminate, discontinue, cancel, or change the Maker’s Circle Rewards program at any time, in Penn State Industries’ sole discretion, and without notice to you. Any changes to these Terms will be updated on the Pennstateind.com website. Penn State Industries also reserves the right to suspend your Maker’s Circle Rewards Points and/or terminate your participation in Maker’s Circle Rewards if Penn State Industries, in its sole discretion, determines that you have violated these Terms, the Pennstateind.com Terms of Service, or the Pennstateind.com Privacy Policy, or if the use of your account is unauthorized, for commercial purposes, deceptive, fraudulent, or otherwise unlawful. In the event that you or Penn State Industries terminate your participation in Maker’s Circle Rewards, then all unredeemed Points will become void.
Unless otherwise expressly stated herein, the laws of the United States of America and the laws of the State of California, without regard to the principles of conflicts of laws, will govern these Terms, your participation in Maker’s Circle Rewards, and all matters relating to your access to, and/or use of, Maker’s Circle Rewards.
The personal information collected from you in connection with the Program, including but not limited to purchases made in connection with your Program membership, will be used and disclosed by us in accordance with Pennstateind.com Privacy Policy and the Pennstateind.com Terms of Service.
Financial Incentive Notice. These additional disclosures apply only to individuals who reside in California as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and Colorado as required by the Colorado Privacy Act (“CPA”). We offer incentives to customers that involve sharing of Personal Information with us. The Personal Information collected and retained Penn State Industries, Inc. (“Penn State Industries”) in operating these programs is described in our Privacy Policy, and includes your name and contact details, your date of birth information, your payment information, your contact history with us, your purchase and product feedback history, additional details about you, information about your device type and how you use our website, your public reviews and blog comments and inferences from data and other personal information we may collect in connection with your interaction with our service and/or participation in any of our promotional programs. We may share this information with service providers, professional consultants, vendors necessary to complete transactions that you request, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your personal information with Data Brokers, as defined by the CPA.
Benefits provided through our promotional programs may be deemed a “financial incentive” (e.g., promotional goods) and/or “differential services” (e.g., discounts, coupons, other promotions) under the CCPA and CPA. Program: We offer rewards to customers participating in Maker’s Circle Rewards, consistent with our Maker’s Circle Rewards Terms and Conditions above. Participants in Maker’s Circle Rewards receive promotional offers, including discounts, coupons and opportunities to participate in other promotional opportunities. You can subscribe to Maker’s Circle Rewards by logging into your existing pennstateind.com account or, if you do not already have an account, registering for an account on pennstateind.com.
The benefits of Maker’s Circle Rewards are described above. The categories of personal information collected through your participation in Maker’s Circle Rewards that may be shared for the purposes of targeted advertising include Personal Identifiers, Commercial Information, and Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity. If you choose to exercise your data privacy rights and request a deletion of your personal information, your Penn State Industries account and any Maker’s Circle Rewards program benefits are deleted. We are only able to provide Maker’s Circle Rewards program benefits to Penn State Industries account holders.
Surveys and Focus Group: You may also be offered the opportunity to participate in a survey or focus group. Participation in the survey may result in Penn State Industries collecting additional information from you, including your preferences, experiences, beliefs, opinions, and responses to the survey questions. In exchange for your participation in the survey, you may be offered a financial incentive, as described above.
Limited-Time Promotions: From time to time, we may offer incentives limited to a specific time period, or time limited sweepstakes, contests and other promotions. Participation in a limited-time offer or promotion is governed by the applicable terms and conditions for the program, which will also describe any financial incentives associated with the promotion.
Discounts: We also from time to time offer discounts connected to customer’s submission of their email address, phone number or other personal information. You can always opt out of our marketing emails or SMS messaging at any time.
We treat the value of your Personal Information collected through our promotional programs as equivalent to the value of the benefit provided to you through the program. We calculate the value based on our costs.
