Good bargain, pen cartridge could be better

These are a great value for the price, but as one would expect, something has to give. The hardware is just as good as more expensive pen kits, but what gives is the quality of the pen cartridge itself, meaning it doesn't lay down ink as well as other higher priced pen kits. I have also found that the funline kits are a bit more difficult to press into the tubes and end up doing a bit of grinding to ease the pressing process. Other than that, they are excellent starter kits that look and function very well.

Funline Slimline Chrome Pen Kit

I ordered this kit because it's inexpensive. I am new to turning and wanted some cheap kits to practice on. This fit and finish is very good and my pens look great. The only downside is the mechanism is so weak that when applying any pressure while writing, the pen turns, retracting the ballpoint into the tip.

I haven't used to many chrome kits, but I must say, that for the price of this pen kit, I was very impressed. Easy to assemble, and writes great.
