Liked the pen from the "get-go." It's regal appearance makes it a bit intimidating but, if you take your time and re-check all measurements you shouldn't have any problems making it.

I have made several of these on a commission basis and they have gotten rave reviews! The kit is very well made as was easy to put together. Make sure you get a 7/8" pen blank. The smaller 3/4" blocks don't provide enough room. The maple burl blanks work beautifully and the result is spectacular.
