nice pen but needs some fine tuningThis is a nice pen kit, very easy to assemble, works well and has a good quality feel to it but has one problem. on all of the compson kits I have used the pocket clip is oval or egg shaped on top making it hard to make a nice finished product. you must turn the barrel slightly smaller than the bushing or the wood/acrylic will stick out past the clip on the back side slightly. no room for error on this one, but I will still buy more, just hope they adjust this problem.

Nice click penI have had several customers ask for a click pen. In the past the click pen that I used was difficult to assemble and the push top rattled. The Compson is easy to assemble and has the high quality that I like to offer my customers.

made 4, sold 4Got 4 of these (chrome) to see of they would sell. Fabrication was straight forward. Showed them at 2 craft shows. Zero interest at the first - sold all 4 at the second. The kit is nice and the click action is positive. Style is a nice, long body which shows off the blank. Feels pretty darn good in the hand. I'll be back for more, esp if PSI comes out with a variation that replaces the black tip which tends to limit body type to darker woods & acrylics.

Review of Compson Click PenThis is a nice looking click pen and feels good in your hand. However, I found that it would not assemble as per the instructions. The Transmission plunger unit WILL NOT go down through the clip as instructed. You must assemble the entire top portion of the pen so you can put in the spring and transmission from the nib end instead of the click end. Too a while to figure out how to get it assembled, but once done it seems to work smoothly.
