Mighty little chuck! Be sure to get the items flat when tightening down, had one literally fly of the handle. Metal quality might be questionable in the long run as it feels less dense than other chucks out on the market. But so far so good. Worth the price too!

I am so thankful to Penn State for offering this product at this price-point. These jaws are my first jaunt at turning. I didn't know if I would like it so I didn't want to spend a lot. I got to use two of the jaw sets so far to turn some candlesticks and other do-dads for Christmas gifts. They are just perfect for my needs. I am no expert, of course, but, they work just great for me!!

This is a perfect chuck for the midi lathes that are on the market. I have a Nova Comet II and this thing is great. I have been turning bowls for a couple weeks and have had no issues. It has great grip on the wood. The flat jaws work great for cleaning up the bottom to give a great finish. Well worth the money spent!!

I purchased this chuck for my MIDI lathe so I could turn bowls from wood I cut from local trees. It was a first time project and it did the job very nicely. Using the screw mount with this chuck was a good fit for my bowls. Now I want to add more tools to give this lathe a more flexible array of projects.
