Drill ChuckThis drill chuck is both accurate and durable... It has flown across my shop and landed on a concrete floor without even getting a scratch. Does the job well!

Cannot use without tailstockAgree with the review written by Louie Powell. Without the tailstock the chuck vibrates loose. Hard to do things like the purse holder with a tailstock point in the middle of the work!

chuck slips offThe chuck slips off the morse taper adapter that shipped with it. Although you can use a draw rod with the morse taper itself this does nothing to secure the chuck to the morse taper. I can't see using this on the headstock but it may still be useful on the tail. Just as long as there is pressure between head and tail keeping this fixed together. Unfortunately this means I'll probably need to find another chuck.

Nice chuckThe only issue has been that the MT sometimes comes loose causing the drill be it slip. This may be related to technique as I'm a novice turner.

1/2I have used this chuck several times since purchasing it and it works very well. It is great quality for a great price.

1/2Checked out the chuck upon arrival for fit & finish, operation, etc. It was just what I needed. There was no excess "play" nor was the operation too tight. The MT fits my lathe closely. Not considering the price, I could not expect anything better. This is an excellent value.

Great for the priceSometimes I can't understand how Penn State can sell tools at so much less than other companies. In fact, I worry that I won't be getting good quality. Not so on this drill chuck. I don't think I could ask for anything more at any price. Works great and expands my capabilities on my lathe.

Good Solid Drill ChuckThis is a good solid drill chuck with smooth operation and a good grip. Since this is a 1/2" capacity chuck, it is rather large on a mini lathe but it works great. I had some trouble with the MT2 arbor slipping at first, but I have improved my technique now--you have to put the chuck in with a little flick of your wrist. Plus I made a drawbar out of 3/8 threaded rod for use in the headstock.

half inch drill chuch #2mtIt is exactly what I wanted and ordered.
