Beautiful but poor tolerancesLovely pen once it's finished. However, none of the parts were big enough to actually get a press fit in the tubes. All except the little button cap piece, required thick CA to stay together. With the CA to glue the center band in, it created squeeze-out on the inside that interfered with the operation of the twist mech. had to scrape/file out the cured glue from inside the tube, then it twisted with perfect feel. The design/mfg of the pen pieces needs attention to get them to be true press fits.

Not impressed.I ordered four of these. One had a speck of grit in the finish and one the twist mechanism was "gritty" in it's operation. I was able to put three kits together out of the four.

Beautiful pen, but.....These are striking pens that get quite a bit of attention from prospective customers. The tubes do seem to be a bit loose on assembly. The only real problem that I have had is that the center band to coupler band was very tight on the last 2 pens that I put together. The mechanism works great until the coupler band is inserted all of the way into the center band. I verified that the wood was not larger than the coupler band and even tried to clean the excess black coating out of the center band. Nothing worked. The pens still work but it takes too much effort to operate the mechanism. Has anyone else had this problem? If so did you find a soultion?

These kitsI love them, they look great no matter if you use wood or acrylic. Sometimes I have to put a dab of glue to hold the parts but I can deal with that.

A difficult pen to make.I just completed making six sculpted pens. What I dislike the most with this type kit is forming the tenon. Making a tenon down to a bushing is one thing, but taking it down to the brass tube I find is very difficult. It is very difficult to achieve a perfect 90 degree angle with the brass tube without ruining the finish on the polished blank. I was able to hand press some of the parts together. The cap holder, for example, had to be super glued in place. If you didn't as you pressed the cap and clip the cap holder would slide further into the tube.

One of my favourites! This has become one of my favourite kits. Easy to make, it is also very attractive. I only wish it came in a fountain Pen version.

Looks great / Easy to turn / 1 small problemI have turned 3 of these pens now. The come out looking great and are a big hit. My only complaint is that the brass tubes tend to be a bit large for the parts. I can slide the pen together by hand without press. I have to use a dab of glue to keep them in and from coming loose. Has anyone else noticed this ?

Sculptured PenThe peices were not easy to press together. I needed a small dot of glue to hold the middle band together. Overall a beautiful pen. I would still do another.

Nice pen, women love it and easy to makeMost women who see these pens love them at once, very easy to make, no real learning curve to speak of.

Big Hit with the Ladies!Very nice pen. Has a great weight to it and a very well made feel. Easy to turn and finish. The different styles make it even better. A very big hit with my wife and her friends.
