Bottle Stopper Lathe Chuck w/ Drill Bit

Talk about a "production tool" that bottle stopper makers shouldn't be without!! This chuck really makes a huge difference in you output. The included 23/64" brad point drill bit is just right for very hard dense woods like cocobolo and other rosewoods. I have found that I prefer a 5/16" brad point bit for woods like purpleheart, mahogany and maple or any other lighter hardwoods. The chuck base is just the right size for the "flat-top" stoppers like the BS1's. I also use this chuck for my BS3 BottleStopper/CorkScrew Combo's. I first use a 5/8" Forstner bit to drill a 3/8" deep hole in the center of my blank then using a 5/16" brad point bit and the dimple from the center of the Forstner bit, I drill in another 3/4". Thread this hole with a 3/8" x 16 tap. Your wood now will now screw all the way down on to your BS3 and lay flush with the flat top.
