| Quit Guessing Grits Unlike sheet abrasives, abrasive strips don’t have the grits marked on the back side, making it easy to lose track of the grit being used, especially when you have several small strips at your work area. To solve this dilemma, use a felt-tipped marker to mark the grit on the blank back side of the abrasive strips for ease of reference. Immediately after cutting a piece of abrasive strip to length, mark the grit reference number on the back side. Use a small container to store strips in for use later. |
