Ideal for carving and sanding. This lighweight unit is a self-contained dust collector system. All fans and filters are integrated into a portable 8" x 10-3/8" x 23" cabinet. Dust is drawn in by three computer-grade, quiet, maintenance free fans. Dust is captured by an easy to clean 10" x 20" filter at 725CFM. Motor: 3 @ 110v, 1.29A total Variable speed fans. Not worth what they're charging.

It does help with airborne dust. The rest of the dust is left on the table. I am a woodturner and then I use power carving in my work. The plexiglass sides are attached with velcro. Somewhat flimsy. The filter almost fits. The dust goes through the filter and into the box. Will have to take the back apart to get to it. The handle gets attached after you receive it. There is no bottom nut to hold the handle in. It is heavy and there are no side spots to grab on to. So it needs the handle. I just got it this week and from lifting it twice, the handle is already dangling. I will have to take the back apart to fix the handle. So, it keeps the dust from the air. You still need to wear an N95 mask with it. It is not a vacuum so there is a lot of dust left on the table. You can easily remove the filter and shake the dust out of it. (Outside!) Since it is big and heavy it is not as portable as you would think.

I love this machine! It helps keep me safe from breathing gourd dust when I am carving, and also pulls the smoke & fumes from wood burning away from me and out the window right behind it.

Game changer for the carving shop. I have asthma so dust is always a problem. I built a dedicated sanding station around this unit. I feel better and the whole shop is cleaner.
