My first lathe is the Turncrafter Commander. It just arrived today and I have already done some nice work on it. Excellent fit and finish, great price, came totally complete to do work but has the ability to add over time to do more work. This is a great product and I am completely pleased. I got more function for the money with my Commander than I would have gotten with Jet or Delta. Don't overlook this machine.

Ordered and received the lathe quickly. Put it on the bench and quickly assembled. Plugged in and turned on, motor made horrible sound and started to smell. Called PSI, talked to Joe. No problem, sent another one quickly. Works fine, really fine.

I decided to get the 10 inch lathe instead of waiting for the 12 inch model. Unit arrived in one piece and I was able to get it operational, with extension bed installed within two hours. The unit would not achieve RPM’s below 600. I called Tech support and problem was corrected with one phone call. This unit is a true workhorse and does everything as advertised. Only problem was the RPM readings were 250 rpm’s higher than actual. (I have my own RPM tester.) PSI tech support offered to replace complete lathe or I could wait for a new RPM reader to be sent to me in the near future. I'll wait as the system does everything so well.
