Great pen...shaky longevity

This is a great looking pen. The type of pen that just fits. The only problem is that after about a month of careful use the front cap hardware began to loosen. I now have to tighten it every other day or so.

Beautiful Pen

I like this pen a lot but would prefer the couplers to be all metal.... already had problems with one kit. I would also love to see the center band accented in gold rather than black. I think it would make a stunning difference.

Excellent pen with a caveat

This is an excellent pen - nice size and a great "heft". Makes for an ideal man's pen. My only caveat is that I've had two break . . . the plastic threads have broken. This is probably due to tightening the pen too much . . . and now I make sure to tell customers to tighten the pen gingerly.

My Favorite Kit

This is my go-to kit for when someone asks me to make a pen. It is very high quality and seems to go with just about any form of blank. The best ratio of price, preformance, and style by far.

Platinum Tycoon

This pen with the Plat/Rhodium finish is a standout. I have made both acrylic and wood verions. It looks great with a highly polished Cocobolo. A man's pen, great gift.

Love this pen

This pen is just the right size for an everyday pen and its postable. So the functionality is there to. Wish the price was lower but it is by far an easier sale then the high end Majestic Jr.

Best of the mid-priced pens.

The Tycoon is my choice for excellent, inexpensive pens. The quality is significantly above anything else in it's range. The threading is smooth. The weight is nice and fairly balanced. The assembly can't get much simpler. If I were to change one thing it would be the pen clip, which feels just a bit on the flimsy side to me. Other than that, this is my go-to kit.

Beautiful Kit

Beautiful and classy pen when finished. Mated this with the turquoise tru-stone and the result was a gorgeous platinum and blue-green pen. The plastic insert can take a beating from the sharp edge on the tube. Best to chamfer the inside of the copper tube and the pen assembles perfectly.
