A must Have!!If you plan on making pens, plan on making mistakes. This is the best tool to have in the tool box when deconstructing that half built pen that you put the tight metal insert in the wrong end. It will not damage wood or add scratches to acrylic. It is worth it's weight in gold!!

A significant drawback. While the product works well on larger pens, the jaws are too long for Slimline pens. Gripping the upper tube breaks the pocket clip almost every time. Removing between 1/8" and 1/4" from the outer edge should solve the problem.

A must have tool if you make pensI use this tool all the time. I used to use channel locks and have tore up a lot of pens. This tool is great . I bought some clear plastic tubing to go over the pens also. It take the wood of of your lathe when it gets stuck. Put the tubing on half of the barrel to take it off of the lathe. A great addition my tool box.

Worth it's Weight in GoldThis is on of those tools that you don't need often, but when you need it you must have it. I used mine minutes after receiving it. If you need to take a pen apart for any reason, you should have one of these in your shop. It will make the disassembly so much easier.
