FINE LITTLE CHUCKThis is a fine little chuck. Don't make the mistake I made by assuming this will handle bowl turning. It just won't but it does a great job for small items. Well made, smooth operation, great flexibility due to all the jaws that come with it. A very fine little chuck for the smaller lathe such as the Commander.

Mini Grip 4If you're like me and don't have a lot of time for woodworking projects, get this item. It will cut down your set up time and leave you with more time to do what you enjoy. Very sturdy and well priced. A must have for small projects on a small lathe.

Mini Grip 4 Jaw Lathe ChuckExcellent workmanship. With the pen blank jaws I can now drill pen blanks accurately and quickly, even with the larger bits (33/64") in 3/4 x 3/4 blanks, something I could not do on my drill press and pen blank vise without a blowout. Set up on my Jet lathe is quick, easy and accurate. For the quality and performance, the price was a steal!

Mini Grip 4 jaw lathe chuckI'm very happy with this item. A good value for the cost of the chuck. It has worked flawlessly in the half-dozen times I've used it since purchase a month ago. Very little detectable runout. Only suggestion is to make it adjustable with a single key rather than 2 tommy bars.

4 Jaw Economy Chuck ReviewRight away you notice the solid build, and it's heavy, so keep that in mind as it spins at high RPM on your lathe. Make sure everything is tight before you spin it. It takes 2 hands to tighten and loosen this rig so the only way I have found to accurately deal with it is to put the stock on a table, place the chuck down on it, then tighten with the 2 wrenches with both hands. Make sure it's tight! Place the teethe of the jaws as far onto the stock as possible. 3/16" won't cut it, it will fly off there. If you expand the chuck too far one of the jaws will pop off the side so be careful of that. Otherwise I am happy with this chuck. However I am going to get another chuck that can be tightened with one hand, like a Barracuda or comparable.

AwesomeI searched all over looking for this type of a chuck. A lot of them are over $200.00 - $300.00. This one is a great value. I have used it a few times and it has works out very well. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Mini Grip 4 jaw chuckWorks fine. Great value.

love it!This chuck & jaw setup is perfect for what I need to do with my lathe. I'm getting set up to make turkey calls & this chuck works awesome, for a fraction of the price of the more expensive brand name equipment. never did I think that I could do so much with just a cheap Harbor Freight lathe!

Mini Grip 4 Jaw chuck.Over all the Mini Grip chuck is a good value at $99, especially with the extra accessories! The screws that hold the jaws on fit and set very snugly without having to over torque them. The only problems I've had with the chuck is the 3/4" x 16tpi adapter fits very loosely in the chuck, and the chuck itself wobbles a little when mounted onto the mandrel of my lathe. This makes it almost impossible to turn two identical pieces on my lathe.

mini grip lathe chuckExcellent accessory for the midi lathe-- Just as good as the more expensive offerings
