These are beautiful blanks to work with. The finished product is very nice and easy to put great finish on. I have had no problems with any of the burl blanks and the customers are extremely happy with the finished product.

This is a first time to give a two star rating, to any product. The color I liked. Blank was no good. When trying to cut blank it wanted to tear apart, while drilling blank with brad point bit-the blank cracked. Could have been a bad blank or could use larger piece. Overall not happy with the piece that I recieved.

Must take care in drilling the blank but it works well after that.

Although all of the stabilized woods are easy to turn, and all produce handsome results, the dyed maple burls are my favorites. Color penetration is excellent, and the figuration makes them resemble marble. I have found that thin cyanoacrylate enhances the figuring and color, produces a superior finish on stabilized woods.

When properly prepared, these blanks produce a stunning finish - has the appearance of a holograph. Very popular color. Blanks generally of good quality
