Very nice antler

I received my antler pack the other day which contained 4 very nice sections. The antler has a thicker outer section than other antler I have used resulting in easier finishing. Overall the whole antler is denser and I was able to make pens with much less of the pith exposed. I am not into CA glue finishing in these natural materials so less pith means a smoother finish.

More pieces of smaller, straighter diameter would be useful. Otherwise, a good value.

Deer antler pen blanks

The antlers worked fine for the pens that I made with them. I don't know how to rate them compared to other companies products because this is the first time I have used them.

Deer Antler

This was the first time I bought antler. The yield was as advertised and with the left overs I was able to decorate some other turnings that I've been working on. The antler turned easy, you need to have sharp tools. I was able to turn about 6 pen blanks before having to resharpen. Sanding and finishing were a breeze. The smell gets a little old after cutting about 10 pieces. But that's me.

Make Nice Pens

I like deer hunting so I love the deer antler pen blanks. They make very nice pens and are easy to turn.

Nice antler material

Not as big as I needed in spots and be aware you will be drilling across a bend in the antler. This and the irregular shape makes drilling for a tube very exciting...

I received 2 racks with lots of antler the right diameter for good pens (white with little dark pith)
