Universal Pen Blank Squaring Jig
Square the ends of any pen blank regardless of tube diameter! First square the rod to you power disc, or belt sander (works with your sander's mitre gauge). Next mount your blank (with tube inside) and simply slide the blank into the sander. The end will be perfectly square every time.

I have used it several times and squared it up the same amount of times. It is not very sturdy and does not stay squared up to sanding surface. I find it easier to square the blank sides and just use the miter gauge on my disk/belt sander.

The jig is not square itself, it is way off and not very adjustable. Therefore, you have to make adjustments to the sander which leaves you with a sander unusable for anything else. And, its rather difficult and time consuming to get exactly square.

The jig I received was well made and sturdy. It came with two posts on which the blank slides. After squaring athe posts to the disc sander it was ready to use. It produced a smooth, square end on my blank. It does take a little practice to be able to know when to stop sanding, but it comes quickly.

Price is fair enough, just have a problem finding a compatible sanding disk. My problem, not the jig's. The design is without flaw and should work very well with the proper sanding disk.

Excellent, could not find one in the UK. Works well with my bench disc sander.

This squaring jig is much more rigid than I expected it to be. Works very well.

This squaring jig is fantastic. Works easily with the only disadvantage being that you have to stop to look at how far you have sanded too frequently so that you don't go to far. Other than that, no complaints. Use it every day. ewb

This device was difficult to get exactly perpendicular to the sanding surface. You have to be certain that your sanding base is level and perpendicular. You also have to be certain that the rod is perpendicular. Too many chances to be wrong.

This is another great must have for any shop. It is easy to set up and use. A real time saver, and also a must for the stars and stripes pen kits.

This jig works ok but would be much better if it had a selection of mandrels of standard sizes (7mm, 10mm etc) that would make the blank more stable while sanding.
