This kit will turn you out a nice pencil if you're careful doing your turning.

I really liked Woodcraft's sketch pencil but didn't like the high price. This one is less expensive and produces a very nice workshop pencil. You do make some sacrifices; the top ferrule is a glue-on ring; not as nice looking as competition. You do work less with this kit as you have 2 segments to drill vs the 1 in the competing kit. If I was making many of these - I'd pick Penn's over WC on near-equal equity and better price.
