Thread on 3/4" x 16tpi screw on for Sears, Carba-tec, Ryobi and Record lathes. Includes long mandrel, knurled nut, seven 7mm bushings, 7mm drill bit. Compatible with all PSI bushings and kits. Our precision mandrel sets include lathe accesories necessary for making "Slimline" pen and pencil sets. Mandrel has an OD of .243". All PSI mandrel kits include headstock attachment, mandrel shaft, a free 7mm drill bit, and knurled nut.

Mandrel works a lot better than the homemade one I had been using and it fits my old Craftsman lathe.

Sears Pen Manrel set

My 17 year old son has gotten into woodworking and I ordered the Sears 3/4 by 16 tpi pen mandrel so that we could turn some pens. The mandrel fit on the sears lathe very snugly and we have turned over a dozen pens with it. I am very satisfied with the quality and strength of the mandrel and with the pen kits that we ordered from PSI. I recommend PSI to anyone interested in this hobby of pen turning. I am particularly fond now of looking for my own wood to dry and turn.

The type of lathe that I purchased has very limited accessories. I need a converter for the unusual TPI. With the converter and this mandrel, I was able to turn pens. Works great. Recommend it.

Pen Mandrel

I had some wobbling problems with the standard Morse-taper mandrel. The "screw-on" mandrel solved all of those problems. It's very nicely constructed and does a great job.
