The description says "Milante, Purpleheart, and Indian Rosewood, plus two laminated hardwood styles." I've bought this set twice. Each time It's came with Indian Rosewood (solid) Paduak and ash(?) Rosewood and Paduak Rosewood and ash(?) and what I assume to be Milante. I've only had two blow outs, and for the most part the wood has been alright.

Very nice blanks. Saves time and effort by being presized and predrilled.

I was not very happy with this batch of blanks. The solids were dry and very brittle. I have purchased these in the past with great success. This pack was not up to your standards.

As a first time pen turner these blanks were immensely helpful as I wasn't confident in drilling my own. They allowed me to get started right away on my pen turning. I only wish they had a bigger selection of wood to choose from.

These are unique pens when finished and add interest when people are selecting a pen. They don't split easily as some laminated blanks do. All the prep you do is glue in the tube. It is possible for a darker wood's sawdust to be picked up in the grain of the lighter wood, so I use a clean spot of sandpaper. Don't care to see it in a catalog.

There are gaps between the different woods, I am not impressed with these.

I was disapointed to find that two of the blanks had cracks, making them unusable. The rest of the package was ok, and if the two blanks would not have had the cracks, I would have given it five stars.
