Lots of great pictures, but also lots of unnecessary fillers as well. Pretty good on the basics but not nearly enough detail. Could have been half as long and just as good.

I would recommend this book to anyone getting into Wood Turning. The book is from a great Author, Barry Gross. It contains great photos, with detailed explantions, and will hold your interest.

This is an excellent primer on woodturning by a fine author. If you are just considering woodturning, it will show the basic items needed to get started. If you have just started, it will show many of the basics that you need to know. Good photos and explanations are provided taking the reader from rough wood to finished product. The price is good. I'm happy that I bought this book.

This is a very informative book giving both beginner and seasoned turners something to use in the shop. I particularly liked the info on collecting and using wood types.
