Great product for turnings as you can get right down to the tip of turning and not worry about hitting the tip of cone

Small Tenon Clean Up

The coned shape allows me to turn a very small tenon for easy cleanup when project is finished being turned. Due to the 60 degree shaped minimal pressure is needs to be applied to the small tenon, this in turn eliminates breaking out the small tenon.

This has been an excellent addition to my lathe tool kit. It allows me to cut right down to the nub before parting off the turned piece. The tailstock does not get in the way as with my old center.
