I'm new to turning pens on the lathe. I was having a problem with the the small replaceable points on the tailstock that came with the lathe. They simply didn't fit correctly in the pen mandrel and would fail over time. The tailstock center I purchased from Penn State has solved the problem completely. No more wobble in the mandrel. Nice , smooth turning.

I am new to woodturning but I can tell a difference between this drive center and the factory one that came with my lathe. This works much better and really bites into the wood.
