Get precision gripping and centering of small diameter dowls and tenons.

Ideal for gripping pen mandrels, bottle stoppers and other small projects where a tenon is used for chucking. Easily hand tightens to safely secure collet and workpiece. Pre threaded with  1" x 8tpi headstock thread.

System includes:
  • 1" x 8tpi thread with 3/4" x 16tpi spindle adapter, with collet closing head
  • 5 collets: 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4"

The collet chuck system worked flawlessly the few times I have used it. Compared to a similar system that is more expensive, I was very pleased with the quality and versatility of the Penn State system. Great product!

I have been using the chuck you can buy at Woodcraft for about 6 months. Never liked it as it has about.005 run out in it. Well, I wish I had bought this chuck a LONG time ago. She turns true, easy to clean, and makes life alot easier. I HIGHLY recommend this chuck to anyone

This item is top notch. The chuck had very low run out when attached to the spindle of my lathe. (Jet mini VS) I use the chuck to hold pin chucks that I use to turn game calls. It also holds a pen mandrel well. I would recommend this to anyone. My only complaint is that the blow molded case that it came in does not latch properly but I can live with that. I don't own a Beall collet chuck and have not tried one but I can't imagine that it is any better than this product.

Very high quality materials. Performance exceeds expectations- excellent holding power, non-marring jaws and deadly accurate. Has made small spindle turning a snap- Don't know how I got along without it!
