The files I have to say are probably one of the best buy's I have made at Penn State. I only wish that the hole that is in each card file was just a bit bigger to accept fishing twine to attach it to the lathe stand, but then the file itself would probably have to be bigger :). These files have taken my barrel trimmer that was as dull as my face, to full functionality again within just 20 minutes time. I cannot say enough about these files, if you need a chisel or barrel trimmer sharpened, these files will do the job extremely well. They come in a pack of 2, one 400grit and one 600 grit. just right for putting a fine edge on tools.

This set of diamond file cards are great for touch up on lathe tools and especially carbide inserts. I keep them handy right at the lathe, saving interruption from turning to refresh the cutting edge.

There are two different grits and both are well deployed on each metal plate. They are thin, easy to handle and do a fine job of finish sharpening of my lathe tools.

Great tool to touch up a lathe chisel between grindings. Works fast. Fits easily in a shirt pocket or shop apron. Good for just about any edge tool in the shop. Takes burrs off machine parts too.

It is nice to have something like these diamond file cards to dress up your tools. I have been looking for these diamond files at a good price and I found it at Penn State Industries.

Super useful little file set to touch up the edge of whatever tool you are using. fits in your pocket or ties to a bench (for students).
