20mm is NOT 13/16

All the praise for the clean cuts is well-deserved. However, my experience was the same as another reviewers...the bit is too small. What I found (after splitting one blank, re-sizing the bushings for the kaleidoscope egg, turning one, then having the parts stuck in the blank--thus ruining TWO projects)is that they sent me a 20MM bit, not a 13/16 bit. Apparently someone thought that it was a "Metric Equivalent." That someone needs to actually LEARN something about the metric system...

Nice Fortsner bit. Gave a nice clean cut.

Bit quality is not up to par

The cutting tip of the bit wobbled excessively when turning in the drill press resulting in an oversize hole. This seems typical of bits made in Mainland China. I prefer bits made in Germany since nothing is made in USA.

The bit is too small for the drive bushing to fit. The hole had to be reamed out for this to work. You should check this.

I can't imagine making the Eggoscope without this Forstner bit. I have bored out 13 wooden eggs with the bit so far. IT WAS MOST CONVENIENT TO BUY THE BIT WITH THE EGGOSCOPE KITS.

Kaleidescope drill bit

The drill bit matched the kit for making the kaleidescope. I've had kits in the past where the prescribed bit doesn't quite work.

This tool is excellent. Eager to drill through the very hard texture of the multi pak laminated blanks.

This is a fine bit. It cuts quickly and cleanly, and the hole size is accurate.
