Pen Blank Drilling Center Vise
Drill through the exact center of your pen blanks… The jaws on the “drilling center” move in and out together to insure precision center drilling of your blanks. Just set up the vise once and drill all of your blanks in the exact center. There’s no need to change the setup regardless of the blank’s size or shape. Holds blanks up to 1-7/8" square.

New Feature - The vise now includes a "scrap waste sleeve", just a 2" by 1/4" piece of scrap (a piece is included with the jig). The scrap piece can be flipped, slid and reversed to get numerous uses out of a single piece.  And when its consumed, must cut yourself a new one from 1/4" plywood.

I tried several times to drill blanks with the drill press by hand etc. No luck I did not know what I was going to do. I really did not want to spent 50 dollars on a vise. Money well spent, simple direction, and walla a perfectly drilled blank the first time.

Used this device often. Great control of the blanks, centered holes. I feel very safe using this item and will inform any other turners of this. The cost was less than another provider of this same type of item. I have used various woods from my cabinet shop and they look GREAT with the pens made.

I am new at pen turning. The first few pen blanks I drilled by hand. When I got the vice I used it immediately to drill about 20 blanks, acrylic and wood, square and round, as well as varying lengths. The self-centering feature of the vice was great! I was able to effortlessly switch between the various blanks quickly, while keeping my hands safely away from the drill bit.
