Dust Bad, Hood Good!

I have used this product off and on for about 6 months. I mostly turn pens and bottle stoppers on a mini-lathe. It definitely is an improvement, keeping dust and small chips from going everywhere in the shop. My only criticism is that the weight of my 4" hose sometimes overcomes the attraction of the magnets. I often need to tie the hose in place to releive the extra weight. I have considered permanently mounting it, but that would be less convenient. All in all I am quite satisfied with this product.

I have used this dust hood for about 4 months and find it to to the very well. It was easy to assemble and it does what it is supposed to very well with very little if any maintance

Keeps chips out of face

This dust cover is great. I would recommend this even if you don't connect it to a dust collector. The plexiglass flap that can fold down keeps all of the dust and chips from flying at you, and it easily folds out of the way when you're ready to sand and finish your project. I connects to the lathe using four super strong magnets, so it is able to be removed or moved to a different part of the lathe. Great product!
