Sharpening SetSuper price for value received. Great for turning tools

Just about what I figured I'd get, hoped for betterWith the pattern of things over the last several years these are about what I figured they would be. And that's more low grade, no quality, mass produced from China. From the higher price of these over the usual prices of stuff from China I was hoping that they weren't "Made in China". I had forgotten that I have seen these in the "$4.95 Specials Bin" at some stores where they put all the Made In China stuff. The first time I used these was on the Benjamin's Best 1/2 Bowl Gouge that I got these for on the same order. With every stroke of the concave diamond file a little mettle dust appeared in the curve of the gouge. I thought it must be doing a great job on the edge, until I looked closer. The mettle dust on the gouge was really the diamond grit coming off of the file! It did very little to the gouge but the gouge removed a lot of the diamond from the file! Judging from the amount of the diamond grit that came off of the file with what little I've used it, it wont last very long. Over all, these are very course for a diamond file so they cant give you the fine edge that they should and that's needed, and they wont last very long. But they should work for roughing out the edge and prepping it for finish honing. So add a few more dollars and get a good set if you want something that will last and do the job right.

sharpening setSharpening is not my strength at this point, but these seem to make a big difference.

OKYou get what you pay for. Cheep but will do what I ask them to.

Makes them sharp!Nice little Diamond Sharpening Set. Works well for lathe tools, especially pen making. I also used on some kitchen knives and my wife was amazed when she used the knives. She didn't know that I had sharpened them.

Gets the job doneIt could be better but for the price you will not find any system that works.

Its more than I hoped for.I just wanted to hone a saw blade. But soon found that your kit worked excellent for chisels, router bits, and knives. I couldn't be more satisfied. Thanks Daniel Kurtz

4 Piece Diamond Sharpening Set ReviewThe set is very simple to use and provides a quick method to "tune up" dull tools. In only a few minutes time, the edge was back in good shape for the next item.
