We got these to make pens for a friend who fell in love with the color combination. We got them cut and started to drill them out and the bottom blew out. We had already slowed everything down and kept the hole cleared but it happened again to two more blanks. This is not our first run with acrylics and we know how temperamental they can be. We had a third blank and it finished out well but I doubt we'll be ordering these any more.

I just ordered one of these to see what it would look like-------the color mix was poor so I didn't waste my time turning it. I've been turning pens for over 20 years and know every blank is not a priZe winner but some blanks are just plain culls and should not be sent to customers.

I made a test pen using the Traditional gold kit. The pen turned out great. I have had requests for several more. I finished the blanks using the ultra fine sanding pads. They really bring out the depth. I then did a final buffing with EEE wax and polish.
