Kit is great but the included drill bits are too big.

The Majestic Jr kit is a wonderful kit and very well made. The only issue I have is that the drill bits included with the starter package cause some issues. The brass tubes for the kit measure .4015 and .4835 respectively. The drill bits measure .4125 and .4920 and create too large of a hole. On the end of each tube there is about 1/3 of the tube that doesn't make full contact with the blank. This makes it much easier to have problems with the ends chipping out or the tube collapsing when the components are put together. The gap is large enough that you need to use some type of gap filling glue and to me that's just not acceptable. I will be looking for some new bits that fit correctly.

After I got the hang of turning I decided that I would never turn a bland pen, only "wow" pens. This kit fits the bill! It is so nicely made, plated, and fit and finish is next to none. I look forward to making these works of art as my "top of the top" pens. This kit is particularly economical with all the tools included.

Perfect. This is a stylish pen that is extremely well balanced and just the right size. The ability to place the cap over the pen while you are writing makes this a more desirable pen than the Majestic.

Spectacular Kit

The Majestic Jr. will go down as my all-time favorite kit. Looks great with any blank and is relatively easy to turn. Love it!

Very nice kit

These are impressive pens, photos don't do them justice. Hefty, but well balanced and solid feel. Drills included in the kit are very high quality and cut cleanly, even in softer woods.

Beautiful Pen

This pen is a beautiful High-End item. It writes very smoothly and easily. The weight of the pen takes some getting used to though. Must be careful assembling-- broke two assembly machines (old and weak)putting it together.
