Natural Abalone Sheet for Casting 3/8in. Tubes

Description

Wrap one of these luminescent organic sheets around a pen tube, cast it in resin then turn to make a spectacular rich colorful pen blank. These exotic Abalone sheets are made from genuine abalone shells that are carefully sliced by master craftsmen to a thickness of _ mm. The thin strips are dyed and laminated onto a 3M double sided film that has a very strong adhesive. Each Abalone sheet is sized to wrap around 3/8in. tube diameter to make the barrel for a 3/8in. kit of your choice. Once wrapped cast the tube in a resin of your choice, then turn the blank to size on a lathe. Sheet is 5-1/4in. long with a width specific to work on a 3/8in. pen tube.
