The Steampunk genre has re-ignited a love of old fashioned materials and is all about mixing the old and new; fusing the usability of modern technology with the design aesthetic and philosophy of the Victorian age. Great kit. It’s a bit soft - gets scratched up in my pocket with keys and I think the small chunk that went missing is why I had a metal splinter BUT I get a lot of compliments. The lower portion even reminded a coworker of mine of a lightsaber inspiring him to ask me to tell him if I made a lightsaber pen.

I have always wanted to make one of these pens and i finally decided to do it and i wasn't disappointed. If you want a unique pen in your collection this is a great one to have. I made this one from a black circuit board blank and there was enough of the blank left to make a mini bolt action.
