The super sharp replaceable and interchangeable carbide cutter tips are guaranteed to last 20 times longer than High Speed Steel and never need sharpening. Just rotate the carbide cutter tip when one side gets dull and when you've used all the sides, just replace with a new cutter. The exceptionally well designed square tool shaft slides flat and level on the tool rest to reduce your fatigue, increase your stability and keep you precise and accurate while you turn.
With the Pen Genie™ you'll feel a dramatic difference from the moment you make your first cut. Ideal for roughing and finishing pens. This tool has two square edges and two 2" radius edges for easy pen making from Start to Finish:Start with the square edge for initial roughing of your spindle/pen blank. It's great for quickly removing material in bulk and getting you spindle near its final diameter. Also works great for finishing outside surfaces of bowls. Finish with the 2" Radius Edge for super smooth final profiling and finishing.
