 Eliminates nearly all of that nasty turning dust that jumps into your face and clutters your workplace. The hood assembly includes a clear hinged polycarbonate protective viewing shield that can swing up and out of the way. A convenient mounting bracket is included that allows installing the hood onto many different style lathes. The hood mounts by clamping the bracket to the back side of the lathe bed.The Lathe Dust Hood has a 6" x 9" opening ideal for small projects and pencrafting. For larger projects use the optional universal mounting bracket #DLHOODMB that slides along a 2" wide board. Designed with a standard 4" dust collector hose flange. Adapts to shop vacuums with PSI’s 4" to 2-1/2" adapter #D4X.

This sturdy cast aluminum hood provides a sturdy adjustable fence, plus convenient dust collection. The large 5-3/4" x 4" opening accommodates the largest cutters on both routers and shapers. The face and base are machined to 90° and provide precise and smooth operation. Dust outlet is 2-1/4" OD and accepts a shop vacuum hose or PSI's #D4X2 adapter to connect to a 4" dust collection hose.
