This pen is something else. It's a real "Man's" Pen. It is has some real weight to it and feels great writing with it. I made mine with snake wood so it was quite substantial. The kit was a little overwhelming when I first opened it up and saw all the parts, but with a little patience and common sense it all came together. But do pay attention to some of the pieces; they do look similar.

I made this pen with Ambroyna burl and it turned out beautifully. No complaints. Everyone loved it and it was an absolute joy to write with, a nice smooth mechanism. I will be making many more of these pens in the near future.

This pen sure looks different from what else is out there and is a welcome addition. There are a couple of new click pens on the market, and they all seem to be rather good quality! The turning of this pen is extremely simple - a single barrel. It uses a std 8mm drill bit, so the wall thickness of the wood is substantial. It makes for a rather hefty pen - mine weighed 47g. The barrel diameter is the same at both ends so you can assemble it either end forward. The large diameter grip is very comfortable for arthritic hands! You need to pay attention to the length of the barrel when you trim the ends. This is the same for all click pens - most problems with click pens in my experience come from over-trimming, ending up with a short barrel and a squished mechanism that does not function well. No problem if you pay attention to the length! This kit is not quite as length sensitive as some I have seen, but there is not a huge tolerance either. There are quite a few parts to this pen, and since the assembly is a little unusual, you'd do well paying close attention to the instructions. The clicker functions very well.

An easy beautiful pen to make. Your turning will be straight across (I suppose you could get creative if you wanted.) The kit was complex, but overall easy to follow and not hard to assemble. Compare your parts carefully - some look REALLY similar.
