I used my dad's Turncrafter Pro to turn a couple of Cocobola blanks for the egg o kaleidoscope kits that I had ordered - turned out very nice. Had to show them off a couple at work in the stands and now I have folks wanting me to make them one.

    EggoScopes - These are FUN!!

I have been making these kaliedoscopes for several years. Very popular with children (and adults), these kaliedoscopes are very easy to make. I usually use Purpleheart, Yellowheart, Redheart, or Bloodwood, although any 8/4 stock can be used. The only specialized equipment needed to make these are the bushings and a 13/16 Forstner bit. Assembly requires a dust free area and some tape to hold the 3 mirrors in a triangular shape. Front surface mirrors are used and can be tricky to determine which side is the front. These make great Easter gifts and are very popular at craft shows.
