Penn State Industries has set a new standard in the industry with our line of replacment 1 and 5 micron Dust Collection Bags. Particles less than 10 microns are the ones that are potentialy most harmful to your health! Particles that small can enter your bloodstream through your lungs. Wood dust can contain organic allergens, man made chemicals, and natural and man made carcinogens. You do not want this kid of material in your lungs and bloodstream! Our 5 micron bags are made from 12 oz Non-Woven Shaker Felt - singed on the inside to resist the buildup of dust. Our 1 micron bags are certified and rated to collect 100% particles 1 micron and larger. This material is 16 oz Non-Woven Shaker Felt, also singed to repel dust buildup. A recent article in Wood magazine verified that these bags are far supior to traditional woven 30 micron bags for many reasons; These bags capture finer particles, the bags actually allow more air and inhibit air flow less than the woven bags.Replacement bags are available for nearly every brand of dust collector on the market.
