The mandrel is a time saver. I enjoy turning pen blanks on the lathe.

Not much to say about the replacement, it is the same as the original. But I offer the stars to PSI for offering the replacement at a reasonable price so that those of us who are careless and bend the original don't have to replace the entire mandrel.

This mandrel works well with turning pens and does not bend easily.

A Life Saver

I love the fact that you can buy the shaft without the entire mandrel. My previous shaft had gotten warped and I tried to straighten it to no avail. This one is made of high quality steel and I expect it to be even more durable than the original.

We all will eventually cause at least one mandrel to warp and will need to replace the shaft. This is as good as replacements get. Works for either the 1MT or 2MT Mandrels. Very versatile.

This one is tough.
