This product makes an excellent pen! It is a little more difficult to turn, and cannot be turned too thin due to cracking, but gives a beautiful luster when polished.

Don't turn this to thin it may crack when assembling the pen. I would use on the larger pen kits. Awesome when finished though. To me the marble one shines even better.

I find the stone blanks just as easy to drill, turn and polish as acrylic.

I used this product for a special order pen and pencil set (PK-PCLA2BT & PK-PENA2BT kits). The combination of the black titanium and the red jasper (finished to 12,000 grit) produced a very beautiful and high quality product. I included a complimentary rosewood box (PKBOXR2) because I couldn't see such an incredible set go without a means to display them. This product is wonderful to work with as long as you use the proper care and caution when turning.
