I used this wood on the Over-Under shotgun Pen and it turned out beautifully. It finished to a great shine and turned well.

These Box Elder Blanks have amazing grain patterns and make a dynamite looking pen. The stabilized wood is easy to finish. Just sand to 600 grit and buff to a gloss with EEE Ultra Shine. Be sure to cut slowly and sharpen your tools often. I use them with all the high end kits I make.
