No problem at all turning this, just take your time and be certain your tools are sharp. Minor blow out when drilling, but I just allow a little extra when I cut the blank prior to drilling! Made a beautiful pen.

Used on a small segmented bowl. Turned out very nice.

Very pretty when turned. Drill carefully w/ larger bits, tends to blow-out. Best turned with a scraper with a bevel on top, such as the Sorby Hardwood Scraper. I usually finish with Renaissance Wax and buff.
