I ordered one of these for Purple Diva Charm pen. It looked very good when finished. It is hard and requires patience in turning. The finished results are very rewarding.

While it looked purple prior to turning the pen it came out with very "little" purple with the finished product. Mostly brown.

Having purchased several hundred dollars worth of dyed blanks in the past, I have found PSI's current stock to be severely lacking. Almost without exception, all the dyed blanks have suffered from very poor dye penetration, poor color disbursal, and not remotely representative of the advertised colors. I would not recommend this or any other dyed blank from PSI.

I'm new to pen turning and this blank was awesome. It was a bit harder to turn than regular wood but the results were amazing. It polished to a very high sheen. I used it with a satin comfort pen kit.
