I ordered two of these and one had great spalting and looks great the other has no spalting or figuring at all.

Blank was much darker than pictured. I used it on a Majestic Junior pen. Easy to work and finished up nicely but shattered as soon as I pressed the parts together. Will try to salvage the kit parts.

I used this blank on a Polaris pen and the contrast in the wood is outstanding. It was easy to work with and polished up nicely. This pen stands out in a row of pens. I will be making more of these.
