I use a great deal of the olivewood for pens and do find wormholes in the wood but those little holes give the pens character and most people don't want them removed. It works great.

This is great wood. I used it to cut down for pen blanks. It cuts smooth, smells great, and bores easy.

After I started using Bethlehem Olivewood, I really have a hard time trying any other wood. It has such an awesome grain and beauty about it. My sales even picked up and now I have repeat business and good word of mouth advertising. Please keep this item in stock.

This product turns easily and makes your shop smell good too. I have made several items with this wood and recomend it to everyone. It is expensive, but worth it.

The Bethlehem Olivewood spins amazingly and looks really nice when finished with stain, but you dont need it. It still looks awesome.

I ordered a few pieces of the Bethlehem Olivewood. It is beautiful. I used pen blanks for Christmas presents and they turned out wonderful. However, these 2x2 blanks were full of wormholes. I was making six projects and ALL of them were full of holes. Penn State staff was more than happy to send me new ones once I provided pictures of the holes. The new blanks were a lot better, but I did encounter rotted center on two of them and some worm holes on another one. I would not invest money into this wood again. It is probably the most beautiful wood to work with but not worth the risk. 8 of the 12 blanks had severe problems. Be ready to puddy!!

You won't find a better quality or better looking piece of Olivewood anywhere else than what Bethlehem has to offer. I use it exclusively in all my turning and wouldn't use anything else.
