These blanks require patience and a light touch when turning to avoid chip out especially near the bushings. The problem was that the blank for the lower tube of the pen was quite clear on one side so I could see most of the tube. I had painted the tube white but it still doesn't look very good. Nothing like the picture. Decided not to even assemble the pen.
