Better not hurry with this turning. The product has a tendency to score while turning and sanding. I found that using a 600 wet paper was the best for sanding. Don't use dry grit under 600. Or you will spend a large amount of time trying to remove the scratches. After I finished sanding the product was great, but like I said be patient
