I found the casting to be very hard and brittle. I normally turn some blanks made by a guy and his blanks are a lot softer and easier to turn. Never chunk out. This blank chunked out several times. I was able to save the blank but it doesnt have the normal taper I would put on a Euro pen due to the chunks removed. It is a pretty pen when done though. You can barely see the seam where the material was rolled on the tube. Overall a nice pen just tough to turn.

I wanted to try something that would look a little different then the same blanks you see all the time. This is it!!! It look great! and it is very easy to turn! What more could anyone ask for.

A little sporty to make with slimline kits, but well worth the effort. The acrylic is a little thin by the time you turn the blank to size for finishing, but with a sharp tool and a little patience, no problem. MicroMesh kit to finish and you have a very attractive small diameter pen, that even the ladies love.
