I think that I received the wrong pen blank. I had ordered the blue, and the number matched the order number, but the color looks to be purple.

Decent, but not what I hoped for

I was using this on a Slimline Pen and by the time I got down to final OD, there were still large voids in the wood. I tried to fill them with CA, but they were still noticeable when the pen was finished. I was disappointed.

While the wood is a wonderful color of blue and highly suited to the use I found that it is very brittle and subject to breakage very easily, being extra careful the project turned out great and is a wonderful example of the quality of products supplied by PSI.

I really liked the finished product. One of the blanks had a knot in it which blew out leaving a large gap. I was able to glue it back in and with a bit of work salvage the pen I was making. I would like to get more of the same .

Stabilized Buckeye Burl, Blue 3/4

Not good. I have lost more than have been able to turn. The Burl seems to shatter off the brass insert. The glue holds but the blanks are brittle and the you hit a soft spot and then you are left with nothing. No way to salvage to a teacher pen unless you plug the hole or start with a pen that uses a 7mm hole. I started with an 8 mm to 3/8 inch.
